On 21st April 2015 around 1:30 am, the Auto Vehicle No.MH02 CT 6708 entered Gaurav Excellency Society in Mira Road to drop a passenger in the building, while coming out of the building the driver sped his vehicle and ran over a puppy. An animal lover named Sapna Goswami in the same society heard the loud cry of the puppy, came down, and caught hold of the driver. The driver replied aggressively to her, and started arguing instead of asking apology She called Mr. Salim Charania and narrated the incident, Salim asked Sapna to hold him until he arrives, Mr. Salim & and Mrs.Manisha reached the spot in 5 minutes and investigated the case, the driver got a good taste of his own medicine from locals and Salim.
The driver was running his vehicle without a license, without papers, and a duplicate Badge, The driver & the auto are taken into Police Custody.
Salim took the driver and his vehicle to Kashimira Police Station with eyewitness and registered the FIR under IPC 429, IPC 279, and PCA Act Section 11. The sections attract a 5-year jail term.
The puppy was given first aid and medical treatment by Salim & Manisha, its hind leg is fractured and has an injury in the stomach, the further medical care will be taken as per the doctor's advice.
Conclusion: Accused apologies much later after he realises that he is in deep trouble, the apologies were not from heart but just to escape from the situations
