Puppy was beaten brutally : Leg fractured : Security Guard Arrested : Goregoan Police Station (Mumbai) Accused sent to Jail Judicial Custody till 6th August 2015

 

On 23rd July 2015, An animal lover named Abir Jain, resident of Goregoan west link road, near MG Road, called up Mr Salim Charania and informed him about the animal cruelty that took place in his neighbouring society, in the afternoon of 21st July 2015, the mother and puppy were taking shelter in the society due to heavy rain, the above accused in picture kicked and hit the dog brutally due to which the puppy got severely injured resulting in the fractured hind leg.

Salim went to the spot in their Animal Anti Cruelty Van and nabbed the accused with the help of police and was taken to Goregoan Police Station. The accused was arrested immediately after hearing the case from Salim & the Fir was registered under IPC 429 (Jail term upto 5 years or fine or both) and PCA Act section 11 A, The society people came to rescue their security guard in the police station but went empty-handed.

The accused was arrested and kept in police custody and will be present to the court the next day for further hearing. The dog treatment is done by vet with the help of Bird & Animal Help Line, the Puppy will be admitted to IDA Centre in Deonar for further recovery.

The accused was arrested and the puppy was treated, this is all because of the complainer Abir Jain efforts to take a stand against animal cruelty and help the puppy for medical treatment.
